Carolyn’s Celebration

On Sunday 1st March the church met to have a meal together in celebration of Carolyn Baker’s time with us.

Carolyn has been with the church now for 25 years and it was appropriate that we met on the 1st of March as this is St David’s day, as Carolyn came form Wales.

Carolyn wished to celebrate this time with the church as a thank you for all the help and support she has had over the last 25 years. However we as a church also thank Carolyn for her continued work and faithfulness over these years. She came originally to study at Tilsley College in Motherwell, but stayed on with the church after finishing the course as our Children and Youth Worker. Her work has involved her in the Toddlers, Play Group, Monday Club, Sunday School and Holiday Clubs and more recently the Exchange (Coffee Morning) and much more beside.

She has been an inspiration to many people and still keeps in touch with many from the various activities.

We all thank Carolyn for the meal and for the work she has done over the past 25 years and will continue to pray and support her in the work she is continuing to do.

We appreciate her effort is not just for the church but for her master, the Lord Jesus Christ.

God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. Hebrews 6:10
